Working Together to Protect Access to Personalized Medicine

Thoughtful policy starts by understanding the patients, providers, pharmacies, and communities it affects.

Access for all. Advocacy 2026. Never settle.

Strive Pharmacy works with legislators, regulatory agencies, trade associations, and healthcare leaders to provide practical insight into pharmacy compounding and its role in patient care. Our goal is to serve as a trusted resource, support informed policymaking, and help preserve appropriate access to personalized medications.

Why Compounding Matters

Commercially manufactured medications meet the needs of many patients, but they may not account for every clinical circumstance or unique patient need.

Compounding allows licensed healthcare providers and pharmacists to work together when a patient needs a strength, dosage form, delivery method, ingredient profile, or combination that is not commercially available. Compounding pharmacies may also support medication access during certain recognized drug shortages.

Because compounding is governed at both the state and federal levels, policy decisions can directly affect patient access, provider discretion, pharmacy operations, and continuity of care. Strive participates in these conversations to help policymakers understand how proposed changes may translate into real-world outcomes.

A Trusted Resource for Policymakers

Our advocacy is grounded in the work happening inside our pharmacies every day. That experience gives Strive practical insight into how legislation and regulation affect patients, providers, pharmacy teams, and healthcare delivery.

We advocate by:

  • Helping policymakers understand what pharmacy compounding is, how it works, and how it’s regulated
  • Sharing operational insight from a pharmacy licensed across all 50 states
  • Bringing patient and provider perspectives into policy conversations
  • Working with trade associations and other healthcare stakeholders
  • Supporting solutions that promote rigor, accountability, provider judgment, and appropriate patient access

Our goal is not simply to identify challenges. We want to help policymakers develop informed, workable solutions.

Advocacy
in Action

Strive participates in state and federal advocacy efforts to ensure that policy conversations include the perspectives of pharmacists, providers, and patients.

Our team meets directly with legislative offices, works alongside industry organizations such as Alliance for Pharmacy Compounding (APC) and Professional Compounding Centers of America (PCCA), monitors developing policy, and helps translate complex pharmacy issues into clear, practical information.

These conversations are about informed, workable policy centered on the people it is intended to protect.

“Good policy begins when the people closest to patient care have a seat at the table.”
